— § 01
The problem with how
we remember childhood

Your child's life is scattered. And most of it won't survive.

Photos in iCloud. Milestones in a WhatsApp group. Health notes in a Google Doc someone forgot to update. The red book — the little NHS paper record — living in a drawer you'll panic about at every GP appointment.

The apps you're using weren't built to last eighteen years. Most of them won't. And when they go, so does everything you put in them.

Your child's story deserves better than a scattered archive with an expiry date.

§ 01·a

"One in six UK parents reports their child experienced harm from shared photos online."

— University of Southampton, 2025

§ 02 — The product · four pillars

One private place for everythingthat matters. She inherits it all.

Acc. 2026.01Archive

The family archive

Encrypted photos and memories

Share privately with the people you choose — not a social network. Every photo encrypted on your device before it leaves. Every memory yours.

Acc. 2026.02Log

The parent's log

The AI-organised journal

Write anything. Quire reads the context and places it in the right part of the record — health, milestone, memory, schedule. No filing. No categories.

Acc. 2026.03Calendar

The shared calendar

Shared responsibility, not shared stress

Add the nursery pickup, the GP appointment, the medication schedule. Co-parents and carers get their own view. Nobody has to ask twice who's responsible.

Acc. 2026.04Vault

The letter vault

Letters she reads at eighteen

Write to the person she'll become. Seal it. Quire holds it — encrypted, untouched — until her eighteenth birthday. You can write one letter. Or eighteen — one for every year.

§ 03 — How it works · The Conservator

You write.Quire remembers.

The Conservator — Quire's organising layer — reads what you give it and places it in the right part of the record. You never decide where anything goes.

"Precise, observational, quietly devoted."

Step 01
01

Write anything, anywhere.

A thought at 3am. A voice note walking back from the park. Whatever you give it, in whatever state you're in.

Step 02
02

It organises itself.

AI reads your note and places it in the right part of the archive — health, milestone, memory, schedule. You never file anything.

Step 03
03

Your child inherits the record.

At eighteen, she gets everything. The full archive. The letters. The photos. The ordinary Tuesdays. Everything you built for her.

── The Letter Vault · Suprastratal ──

A letter sealed today.Opened in eighteen years.

Parents have always written things they couldn't say out loud. Notes tucked into a baby book. Journals lost in a house move. Letters that never quite got sent. The vault is the version of that which actually reaches her.

Seal Station · Finalisation Protocol

You can write one letter. You can write eighteen — one for every year. Record a video. Add a photo. Attach a voice note. The vault holds all of it.

"You are building an argument, across years, that your child was loved. Not sentimentally structurally."

Her Universe · The Letter Vault

Her private universe. Built across a childhood. Inherited at eighteen.

§ 04 — Calendar · co-parenting

Everyone knows.Nobody has to ask.

Who's picking up from nursery today? When is the next vaccine appointment? Did the nanny know about the afternoon medication?

The shared calendar connects everyone responsible for your child — co-parent, nanny, grandparent — without opening up the rest of the archive. Each person sees only what they need to.

  • Assign pickups, appointments, and routines
  • Co-parent gets their own notifications
  • Carers see their schedule — not the archive
  • Links to the health log for appointment context

§ 05 — A founding promise

Your family's recordbelongs to your family.

Quire is built on a simple promise: we cannot read your data. Not because we choose not to — because the architecture makes it impossible.

End-to-end encryption means your family's record is encrypted on your device before it leaves it. We never hold your keys. We never have access to your photos, your journal entries, or your letters.

01

End-to-end encrypted at rest and in transit

02

Open file formats (JSON + standard media) — no proprietary lock-in

03

Zero ad tracking. Zero data brokers. Zero third-party sharing.

This is not a privacy policy. It is a founding promise. We don't build the business model that makes selling your data tempting.

Questions parents ask.

  • Can Quire read my data?+

No. And not because we choose not to — because the architecture makes it impossible. Your family's record is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves it. We never hold your keys.

  • What happens if Quire closes?+

We've designed for our own disappearance. Your archive is stored in open, standard formats — JPEG, PDF, JSON — that you can export at any time and open anywhere, forever. Zero proprietary lock-in.

  • What if I die before she turns eighteen?+

During setup you nominate a trusted recipient as a backup key holder. The vault can transfer to them. The letter opens on her birthday regardless.

  • When can she access the vault?+

On her eighteenth birthday — or the date you specify at the moment of sealing. That date cannot be changed after sealing. Encryption is permanent. The recipient is notified on the unlock date.

  • Does Quire sell my data?+

No. We don't build the business model that makes selling data tempting. Quire runs on subscriptions. Your family's record is not a product. It is an archive.

Alexandra — founder, with her daughter
Founder · AlexandraLondon, 2026
§ 06 — Why I built this · 9 years at Amazon

I spent nine years at Amazon, building productsused by millions of families across four continents. Then I had a daughter.

She had gut problems as a newborn. I was tracking everything across five different apps, a paper red book, WhatsApp messages to the health visitor, and increasingly frantic notes-to-self. None of it talked to each other. None of it would still exist when she was old enough to need it.

I wanted to write her letters. Real ones, that she'd read when she was old enough to understand what I meant. I couldn't find anything that felt worthy of that.

So I built it. — Alexandra
